| General info: | Situated behind the main shopping street in Monmouth. We make much use of Chippenham Park, the town centre and the Library for trips and visits with small groups of children. Full and part time places are available. |
| Facilities & Equipment: | Facilities include an indoor soft play room with ball pit for use by all age groups. Each age group is equipped with areas for a wide variety of activities including construction, small world, role play, IT and music. Rooms for messy play offer the opportunity for crafts, painting, tactile and water play. Carpeted rooms mean that quiet reflective play and the enjoyment of books can be accessed. Snooze rooms are available for the youngest age groups and older children who may need to nap. Our garden is equipped with everything needed to promote exploration, discovery and the development of children’s physical skills. |
| Daily Routine: | This varies within each age group to suit the needs of the children. The Birth to Three Matters framework provides the basis of activities offered in the youngest age groups. In the Pre-school group, we have embraced the Foundation Phase framework. As Early Years providers for Monmouthshire LEA, we are ESTYN inspected (Outstanding inspection Feb 08). The morning session includes a mid-morning snack and a healthy, balanced lunch prepared on the premises by our cook. The afternoon session includes afternoon tea offering, fruit, sandwiches and other healthy snacks. |

| Staff qualifications: | We ensure that at least half the staff are First Aid trained and many have Food Hygiene. More than 50% of the staff are trained to a minimum of NVQ level 3 in childcare and 3 members of staff hold Honours degrees in Education Qualifications. |
| Events held through the year: | We hold various fund-raising events during the year. We arrange transition visits between ourselves and the schools to which our children move on at 5 years of age. |
